Biography
This is Thinh. I am an AI research fellow at AI VIETNAM. Prior to that, I worked as an AI research assistant at SAIGONMEC under the supervision of Prof. Le Nguyen Quoc Khanh and Prof. Ho Pham Thuc Lan. Before commencing my research journey, I was an AI engineer in Speech Processing at VinBigData, a national top-tech AI company in Vietnam, for 10 months.
I gained the Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology from the University of Science, Vietnam National University - Ho Chi Minh in 2021.
Research interests
My research interest is machine learning with computer vision applications, focusing on data-efficient AI. Data-efficient AI involves learning AI models robust to limited-data scenarios, such as semi-supervised learning and domain adaptation.
I enjoy studying generalization bounds under these scenarios to propose appropriate ML algorithms. I have also learned generalization bounds (via Uniform Convergence, Rademacher Complexity, VC Complexity) and concentration inequalities (Hoeffding, Chebyshev, McDiarmid) from the online ML course CS229m and other books.
Keywords: Semi-supervised learning, Domain Adaptation, Generalization Bound, Medical AI Imaging.
Seeking PhD opportunities
Currently, I am actively looking for PhD opportunities in Machine learning and Computer vision with emphasis on representation learning and domain adaptation.
